Acupuncture

Seattle Acupuncture and Coaching treats the majority of our patients using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This style of acupuncture offers many benefits and advantages to the healing process because it views the body, mind and spirit as one interconnected unit. TCM takes into consideration many factors that impact a patient’s body including the emotional state, the patient’s environment, diet and whether or not they feel connected to their life. Too often these factors are overlooked in medicine when in reality they contribute so much to a patient’s overall health. The beauty of TCM is that it looks and takes into consideration the patient in his or her entirety.

One of the unique aspects of the Chinese medicine model is it has a specific definition of health. Good health is what happens when all the systems in the body are operating in balance together. Acupuncturists can evaluate balance using canstockphoto3729636visual diagnosis, taking a variety of pulses, and reviewing the medical history. In traditional western medicine good health is usually seen as an absence of illness. When a patient is tired, in pain or chronically depressed but their medical tests are normal, there is not a clear direction. TCM can offer an alternative in many of these cases.

Seattle Acupuncture and Coaching is one of the very few clinics that combines two beneficial modalities together, acupuncture and coaching, in order to provide the best service and most alternatives for our clients. Our holistic approach allows us to personally customize every treatment for our patients. These unique treatments are extremely supportive for quick healing and overall balance. As a patient’s body heals and changes, we adapt our treatments in order to continue to best support you on your road to good health.

Our goal is to not only help heal our clients’ physical ailments but to inspire them to live the best life possible. Sustainable good health and a fulfilling life go hand in hand. We want to provide all of our patients with new inspiration for better living.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is an ancient, highly elaborate system of natural healing that has been used by billions of people for all kinds of health conditions. Seattle Acupuncture and Coaching recommends and designs custom herbal formulas that are specific for your body’s needs and ailments.

canstockphoto12392375Chinese herbal medicine is a wonderful complement to acupuncture treatments, as it works biochemically to support the energetic healing properties of acupuncture.. Acupuncture works on the level of energy by harmonizing the flow of Qi through the main energetic pathways of the body. Qi is how the Chinese describe the vital life force that flows within us. Acupuncture is so unique because it is one of the few therapies that can manipulate the flow of energy in the body and mind to produce a therapeutic effect. In acupuncture theory, until chronic health conditions are addressed on the energetic level, the root cause or problem will often be neglected.

Chinese herbs are the oriental version of medicine and/or supplements. The herbs contain nutrients and other natural substances that can have specific therapeutic effects on certain organs of the body, such as the liver or kidneys. By working on both the immaterial and material levels, the treatment of acupuncture with herbs is much more effective and lasting.

"I was delightfully surprised after my first acupuncture visit with Ben. I had never received acupuncture before and I honestly was quite nervous about it. The way in which Ben treated me was very warm and comforting. He allowed me to get over my own personal needle fears and try acupuncture.

And I am so thankful that I did because it impacted my life in a very positive way. His treatments helped me remove my back pain and to finally be able to sleep fully through the night. I would highly recommend going to Seattle Acupuncture and Coaching for any of your personal health needs"
