FAQ

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

No, acupuncture should not hurt. Most patients are quite surprised about how little it hurts. Sensations that are typically felt during needle insertion include a momentary prick, followed by a very mellow dull pressure. Many patients are amazed by how relaxed they feel during and after a treatment.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

As long as a competent practitioner performs it, acupuncture is extremely safe. Acupuncturists are required to have 3 years of training and they use sterilized, one time use, needles.

How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?

This is unique to the individual. For the best results I recommend that patients come in for 8-12 treatments, twice a week for three weeks and 1 time per week for 6 weeks. This frequency helps to solidify the effects of acupuncture for every patient.

"I was delightfully surprised after my first acupuncture visit with Ben. I had never received acupuncture before and I honestly was quite nervous about it. The way in which Ben treated me was very warm and comforting. He allowed me to get over my own personal needle fears and try acupuncture.

And I am so thankful that I did because it impacted my life in a very positive way. His treatments helped me remove my back pain and to finally be able to sleep fully through the night. I would highly recommend going to Seattle Acupuncture and Coaching for any of your personal health needs"
