During an acupuncture visit the client first goes through a thorough interview process so the practitioner can get a holistic sense of the imbalances that are currently present. The treatment is designed to help both the acute ailment(s) but also to help balance the entire body. Acupuncture points are chosen depending on which areas of the body are stuck or in pain. Typically, between 12-15 needles are used and the client rests on the table for about 15 minutes. Most people experience the acupuncture treatment as being very relaxing and they often fall asleep once they are used to the process.

Acupuncture is a wonderful modality that people tend to continuously use once they experience it, both for acute ailments but also for sustainable, long-term health benefits.
